Visit the Cathedral
The cathedral is open during our services to which all are welcome. Further, the cathedral will also be open throughout the summer months from 14 June (2016) until the 9th of September on Tuesdays to Fridays between 11:00AM and 4PM. The Cathedral will also be open during the same period on “Open Doors Day” ie Saturday 10th of September.
Visitors who wish to visit the cathedral at any other time are asked to contact the Cathedral Administrator, who will organise an appointment for you.
Our guides will be pleased to provide information about the cathedral’s building and cathedral life. Further, descriptive texts are currently available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
The map, displayed below, shows the cathedral’s location by a blue locator. The cathedral is located at the southern end of King Street, and is less than 50 meters from both Castlegate and the eastern end of Union Street (Aberdeen’s main thoroughfare). The cathedral is also situated within easy walking distance of the railway station, the bus station and the ferry terminal. The cathedral is well served by local buses. The cathedral’s postcode is AB24 5AX.
Entry to the cathedral is always free, but we are always delighted to receive donations, as these contribute to the upkeep and development of the cathedral.
